Dram Review: Rare Malts Inchgower Aged 27 Years

[55.6%・27 Years Old・Distilled in 1976・Bottled in 2004・Diageo Bottling・Limited Release]

Nose:

Buttery with some summery white fruits, white pepper hitting alongside fairly strong dose of sandalwood fragrance.

Palate & Finish:

Honey and nuts, poached pears and white peaches, soft nougat with some oak led saltiness as the crisp malt draws the tastebuds towards the spices.

Mint and white pepper, a tad on the bitter oaky side.

Thoughts:

A spicy Speysider showing its distillery characters, crisp with the malt with some of those lighthearted fruits on display.
