[60.0%・NAS・Bottled Circa 2017-2018・Official Bottling・ Single Cask Release]
An elaborated nose of meaty notes and chilli spices, yet it carries some floral aromas with a strong vanilla and cereal presence. An almost Manuka smoke like influence from the background along with some matchsticks.
Palate & Finish:
Lemon cola gummies with a rich honey syrup note punching through. Heavily cask influenced with prunes and vanilla gelling with the malt with some slight suggestions of peat smoke. Creamed honey churned well with cereal to create this chewy mouthfeel.
A finish of soft vanilla custard, slight notes of nuts and minerals, mellow and stretched out.
An immensely powerful dram with good complexity and a proper finish, but still utterly Australian with the heavy cask influence, a gem of recent times considering that this is a young single cask.
Thank you Mr. Schmidt for the dram.
