Dram Review: Bowmore Aged 25 Years Distilled in 1969

[43.0%・Distilled in 1969・Bottled Circa 1994・Official Bottling・Limited Release]

Such immaculate fragrances on the nose, stately and graceful aromas with the velvet-esque waxiness well integrated into the oak.  The cask led sweetness is expressive, from a bouquet of soft ripe fruits to a floral status with the malt gradually developing.  Such balance with the dram releasing more raisins and cured ginger in time.

Palate & Finish:

A soft waxy touch while the dram unfolds, notes of passion fruits, red apples and white pepper with this old time-y fine peat rising from the background in such grace, the wood gives a drying follow through with poise.

A dignified and drying finish, fruits, nutmeg and liquorice conveyed through a distant smoke..

Such a strikingly refined Bowmore, perfectly balanced.

There really is not much more one could want..
