Nose:
An elegant and effortless delivery of Sherry raisins and fine chocolate on the nose, combined with a silky vanilla note. There is perhaps no surprise at all.
Palate & Finish:
The sweet note is persistent with just a hint of buttery barley. Sweet chocolate and ripe red fruits seamlessly intertwined on the palate, with a subtle appearance from the cinnamon spices.
A classy finish of well seasoned wood and youthful cinnamon dust.
Thoughts:
It is constructed with a formula to please but sometimes there is something lacking even in a flawless whisky.
Perhaps I am unjustifiably expecting too much..
