Nose:
The nose is on the spirit-y side but it has attained quite extensive cask characters with chocolate sauce and an abundance of grapes and blackcurrants whilst being herbal and dusty.
Palate & Finish:
An explosion of sticky sweetness from the raisins and cola. The delivery is on the hot side but it’s quite chewy.
Brown sugar syrup, raisins and chocolate with a dose of menthol.
Thoughts:
A youngster that has sucked everything out of the “Australian Port cask”, the relationship between the cask and spirit however could use some more refining..
