First Impression: Glenlivet 21 Year Old Archive

A Ruby Rose Gold Appearance. On the nose you get lots of sweetness from honey and vanilla, then you get some pear drop freshness, a bit of floral notes and wonderful light sherry undertone of strawberry jam and bitter-ish Orange peels.

Palate wise, the most prominent initial is of woody oak with a slight char, the mid is fragrant and sweet like a beautiful orange marmalade which rounds off with a controlled semi-dried sultana sweetness and a tinge of smoke.
A great introduction for Amateurs and warming welcome to the experienced! Overall a fantastically well balanced dram and great as a daily!
