Dram Review: Old Pulteney 21 Years Old

[46.0%・21 Years Old・Bottled Circa. 2013-2015・Official Bottling・General Release]

Nose:

Absolutely lovely aroma. Refreshing citrus spices leading way, followed closely by creamy vanilla and sweet cocoa powder with a touch of sea breeze. Beautiful oaky notes in the backend charred to perfection. Absolutely on point.

Palate & Finish:

Notes of vanilla sweetness and lemon jam hit first upon the first sip, then the delicate spices start to dance playfully on your tastebuds, a sprinkle of sea salt to support the melody.

A slightly peppery finish with a touch of wood bitterness and smoke to balance the sweetness on the palate. Not a kick to the face but rather a bite on the lip by an absolute gorgeous.
Don’t ever change.

Thoughts:

A.K.A. “The Old Sport”

This is probably one of my favourite staple drams to have at home.
